Keep your eyes on meetings and events - I have the inside gossip on the Rapa Sprints......could be a sub 250 class.

(That's sub 250cc, not sub 250kph - bet you Gixxer boys got excited then eh ? )

my guess is that it wouldn't be very quick, kind of like if you extended the suspension on a busa by 200mm and shortened the wheelbase by 200mm, the problem is not in the power but trying to keep the front down. and of course the wind resistance by the time you get to 100kph+

with the right gearing you'll do a high 14 if your lucky....would expect a easy 15 though....

There was a CR500 in this lot http://www.cdd.co.nz/sprint/EastWest...ltsNov2004.htm 12.23 secs. A 250 would be slower I suppose so not hugely fast compared to the big road bikes.

It would depend on the gearing - you'd have to gear it right. Most MX bikes would be lucky to be geared beyond 140kph,they'd top out halfway down the strip. My DR230 with road gearing tops out at 165kph,you'd need to be geared for that at least.Maybe a change of bars would help.

Sweet, you're well on your way then. I looped the CR over backwards at Waterford MX track a couple of weekends ago. Only managed to snap the back mudguard off tho. Its amazing the beating they'll take and keep coming back for more.

Giz a yell next time you're heading out for a blast, I'll come join ya.

And there was me thinking Yamaha MX250 - in a 1/4 mile drag, it'd blow its crank by half way down the strip...
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
