Further to the post above with respect to Joanne Black's sensible and measured comments about speeding, Lou Giradin has just penned a reply which is printed in the Sept 9-15 Listener - a copy is attached. Lou's comments are predictably erudite but from most of the reader's letters, you'd think Ms Black had committed blasphemy. I'd like to think that these responses were from trilby-wearing cage drivers who believe that by passing their car license several decades ago, they are equipped with an adequate set of skills for the rest of their driving careers.
