Honda RC45 has a great racing history. Jim Moodie on an RC45 Honda lapped in 18:11.4 seconds, 124.45mph in Isle of Man 1999 TT.
Not bad for an old bike!
I know all about the RC45. There are two in Ashburton if you want one. If you can prise them out of the dealers hands. I plan on owning one, one day.

I think Cowpoo's question was in the present tense. 'Who is making them', not 'who was making them'.

I would think an unmodified current GSXR750 would be able to beat an unmodified RVF, being rode by the same person. Never had a go on a RC45 so I can't really comment. But it's been a few years since the RC45 was new, things have moved on.

Sportbike V4s that a normal person could possibly own are not going to be availible anytime soon, sad really.

Duke is making the step, and with the gsx bettering the cbr at present maybe we will see a 800cc V4 soon, god knows how long the world has been waiting for MotoGP reps to come......

yep agree with ya there mate. I think the above post by the man with the triumph 675 in his sig is a bit contradictory aswell. I'd say a 675 tripple is the nice "in between" ground. More torque than a 600 and less power than a 1000.

No chance of seeing a 800cc V4. More chance of a V5 1000 when teh rc211v gets retired.
