Interesting machine.
Hub-centre bikes have never really taken off .
(Tesi, GTS1000, ELF GP-Racer etc)
Guess it's because we still trust forks.
"...you meet the weirdest people riding a Guzzi !!..."
That was a nice read.
Pretty funky looking steering system. Where is this bike now?
So what was it like to ride then? Cool to look at tho
The bike is in the UK, he has built about 10 more different styles since then, he has one with a TL engine in it, he is working on one now with a ZX10 motor in it.
The bike was exellent, at first I was very nervous about it, but after a quick blat along a country lane, I loved it. We could change offset and rake in under 5 minutes, anti dive in less than a minute, a trick piece of kit
If you read one of the latest "Kiwi Biker" i think! there is an article with pic of one built by an ex designer guru from Ducati using their boxer motor I think. Very fast and incredible handling machine which has by all accounts overcome some of the earlier problems. This is not a new idea.
Evidently they can get through corners very quickly, so fast in fact that tyre wear is a major problem.
