Shipping bike to NZ from Los Angeles

Im just about at the end of my 2nd nth American ride and want to bring home my DR650, Has anyone got some suggestions on easyest and cheapest way to do it, or know of a container coming back with bikes and has room for another bike. I might strip it and box up the bits. Any help greatly appreciated. Its been agreat ride and I dont want to sell it here for someone to wreck. Toddy

can't help on that front dude. What I CAN tell you is empty the tank out
and make sure the bike is sparkling clean--no hint of any dirt or grime anywhere.--Otherwise MAF will have a fieldday

What's the score with this? Is it just a case of giving it a really good wash, or is it a fairings off, strip suspension, brakes etc and clean that they're after? And if it's not as clean as they want, what happens? Large bill for them to clean or do they just refuse to allow it in to the country?

It gets fumigated and cleaned at your expense with no liability for any damage caused.

Cheers. Any idea of costs if they take a dislike to the quality of your cleaning? Not that I prefer riding to cleaning or anything
