Trial Riders - Practise needed

Hi,

I recently bought a Scorpa SY250 Trials bike and am ready to get out and learn a bit more, after many years away from off road riding.
I don't want to motocross, or trail ride, - there is no seat - nor do I wish to ride where my slow plodding around is an annoyance to those who want to race, nor do i wish to become a ramp for adventurous motocrossers to jump over. I have been to Rimmers road, but it's not really a trials area.
I need to ride with others, I have a lot to learn, and doing it by yourself is duller than lawnmowing. So if you know of anyone who has a bit of land witrh a few hillocks and dips, or someone who already rides in the Auckland area, please point them in my direction?

You need to get in contact with the Northern Trials Group.

The Father's Day Classic & Twinshock Trial is next sunday,sept 3rd,Mercer Ferry Rd,or the Mercer MX track,depending on weather.You can't ride your modern in the event,but everyone is pretty cool and wouldn't get too upset if you came up just for a play.Some of the NTG will be there,and you'll be able to contact them and find out their next trial or practice.Peter Boettcher is the man you need to see....he won't be hard to find.

If I go it will be my first trial this year....I wonder if the bike goes....can I still ride?
