Dont worry dude, i rode into a ditch on a straight road at 20kph cause i was looking behind me waiting for someone...that is worse.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
this is what I love about the Interweb... people somehow feel brave enough to fess up to things like binning demo bikes.. god bless !!!![]()

It must be time for this thread to morph into a "my most embarrassing motorcycle moment" thread.
(Is no one else interested...) What bike was it?
Had my first woopsie on my bike today.
Was going round a corner about 300m from home, when I realised two things.
The first was that I wasn't making it round the corner, because of the second. The second being that I was staring at a gravel on the road.
Freak out. Went to lean a bit more to get back on track. Just so happened to be on said gravel patch, felt a bit of loss in the front. Freak out. Stood it up and took a little detour up onto the foot path.
Quick look around to see that no one had seen me. Then stalled it. Rolled off the footpath. Quick kick, and continued on my way.

Nice save GL. No harm done.
After a couple of years of not riding I decided to take a SV1000 for a test ride. Too much throttle, and ended up on the wrong side of the road after taking off from the shop (made sure there were no cars just in case that happened). Got it straightened up and did a power wheelie to show how cool I was and that I did it all on purpose. That impresses every one.....![]()
My first ride on a motorbike was when I was 15 years old and went with a mate on our pushbikes to visit another mate in the country. His old man had a Suzuki 185 trail bike for the farm. Just twist the throttle and let out the clutch, I was told.
Gave the throttle a good twist and let out the clutch quickly.
Whhooooaaaaa, front up in the air, me nearly sliding off and opening the throttle more. Ran behind it and managed to jump back on and get the front down. Throttle still wound open quite hard as I go airborne over the mound surrounding the tennis court, scream across the freshly rolled tennis court, tossing clumps of loverly grass in all directions.
We left very quickly soon after.![]()
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Well, I now have a bike... and It's circles in a carpark time for yours trully!
I seem to have an amazing tendancy to filter up to the front of a long line of cages and then stall. Not just as I get there, but a minute into the waiting with the clutch pulled in with first gear. I think my bike just REALLY hates cars.
And me.
