Maybe just looping back over and around would be the way cause the rest of those roads were bloody fun
You got it mate, my sentiments exactly. Kopu to Coromandel, anticlockwise and then back the same way. Double the fun
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

I saw a thread with a northland contingent heading south same day as I was up, so assumed no one would be around. Will take you up on that off someday though

Thats why going clockwise is the shizz cos you're just warming up and let the ladies go in front for a cruise up through Thames and townships then as soon as you hit Wilsons bay its Giddy up time and every puppy for himself plus with a couple of stops seem to spread out the day and going Whangamata way makes for a big day which is just dandy

Yep! The road through there must have some of the tightest corners around, too. Bit of a pain in Summer holidays as the traffic is really bad and even on a bike you can be held up a lot. Haven't been through that stretch for a few years, (Just realised, nearly ten years! ) North of Whangamata is my favourite bit on that loop!
I figured that as we road through the other day. We left Tairua at 7.30am in the morning. The road over to Whitianga was a bit damp, but after that it just got better and better, but the best part was, we were mostly the only ones on the road, very few tourest, but I can imagine it being a place to avoid in the height of the holiday season. Thats when we can help out up here.
Looking forward to doing the Coro loop again this Wednesday/Thursday on my holiday ride, all things going to loose plans

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?
