Now there's something I don't see every day. In fact, err... I don't recall ever seeing this.
Riding to work this morning, there's a bike cop parked off to the side of the Highbury Bypass, with one of them there laserbeam thingos, looking up the hill to see what he could see, to see what he could see, the bear went over the mountain, the bear went over the..... sorry.![]()
Where was I?
Oh yeah. Being a motorbicyclist, naturally I was on full alert mode (natcherly) and I saw him the instant I came around the corner. Naturally, being a COOL DUDE (despite what my kids say), I had my Bolle sunglasses on (natcherly), so he was unable to laserbeam me. And naturally, being a law-abiding motorist (natcherly), I wasn't speeding and so I slowed down and gave him a friendly biker wave.
Of course, this was an ACCIDENT BLACKSPOT, so now we are safe from accidents involving marauding aliens or whatever, protected as we were by Mr Bike-Plod and his ray beam.![]()
I guess this was just an incident of the "Anywhere, Anytime" campaign, because there was no backup, I think there was no intention to pull anyone up (unless maybe they were doing a trillion times the speed limit) as it would have been impractical in rush-hour (WHY DO THEY CALL IT THAT?!?) traffic.
Nice to see our tax dollars at work.![]()
