I took a ZX14 for a test ride today, fantastic bike I must say. But, can't beat the feel of a carb'ed ZX9r going 9000 and beyond! Was thinking of trading up, may still do, but the 9r feels more angry and the 14 more refined.

they're a FAB bike, and very underated, kind of a big teddy bear, but with giant sized knakeroo's! luv mine ta bits. And the engines are pretty bullet proof too! GO FOR IT!

The 600 goes light in the front if you pin the throttle. Front doesnt lift though.

The 9r lifts. And throttle was no where near pinned.

When I first went from the 250 to the 600 I thought that I would never pin the throttle back cause it takes off. Now days I do it all the time coming out of corners. I really think I will never pin the throttle on the 9. I have approval from MTF to ride the bike away. Now I need to work out if I really need to be spending money on a new bike right now.
Well ... and the verdict is???

Oh well - such as life. You can still have lots of fun on your 600.

Hehe mine lifts in 1st with only 1/2 the throttle pinned, lifts in 2nd with 3/4 pinned & 3rd with it fully pinned! I have changed the gearing a little though and it is a 'modern' grunter! You are talking about 2-up though and it always comes up heaps easier when 50-80kgs is sitting on the rear...

Glad to hear the ZX9 made such an impression on you, and by the time you are ready to buy one they will have gone down in price surely!
