Yay it's finished! The battery's still dead, as it's been sitting for a while. Should probably replace oil, and the screen isn't going (prolly battery, or fuse blown cause of dead battery). But it's done.
We twisted the forks into postion two days ago, and locked up nice and tight, so wheels all straight (always a good thing), and last night I had my first experience of bleeding brakes. Wasn't too bad, just sitting there for 40 mins pumping the brake. Once I knocked the overflow pipe off the cap, which let air all the way back up the lines, then I let the brake fluid container run dry TWICE, which sucked air into the lines again. So all up, I wasted about 150mL of brake fluid. (Which looks very drinkable, clear blue colour mmmm...)
So now I have to ride it to charge the battery, then take it to WOF place, and get it reregistered.
Pity I'm sick home from school today, it's an absolutely smashing day, and the parents are out.![]()
So, thanks to all for any advice given or whatever.
Got to go now, Glenorchy's calling...
(Or that pile of homework...?)
