Apparently HD was asking them to withdraw it from sale . Cant say that the 650R is anything like any other manufacturer though.

    a. They didn't rip off Suzuki. They've been making Suzukis since the '70s.

    b. How is a 650cc tart's hand bag in any way related to a V-Rod?

Compare them side by side, and the utter lack of similarity becomes obvious. The only thing that looks suss is the instrument cowl.

I don't know shit about cruisers, but "Motorcycle Daily" has a thing today (http://www.motorcycledaily.com/07august06_vrods.htm) on the current V-Rods and they look like savage pieces of kit to me. Strikes me that in a market that's all about image, having the word "hyosung" across the tank is not going to help.

Still, what do I know about cruisers?

There was a VRSCX on tardme (Here it is: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-62698058.htm ) .

If I won lotto, yeah. 9.5 seconds standing 1/4 (In the right hands) is pretty good.

A street rod would be cool. Be fun to piss on sprotbikes on the 'takas. Even if I don't like the hill much.

My only reservation about the Hyosung Aquila is all of that chromed plastic.

Yes. They might make inroads with their naked and sports bikes but the cruiser market will be harder to crack. Still, with a lot of new people getting into biking old attitudes will be diluted. New riders will look at price and value-for-money and will have less regard for traditions. A female aquaintance has recently bought the 250 version of these things (her first bike) and absolultely loves it.

Still can't see it. The V-Rod is a lot bigger.

Motorad had an Anniversary V-ROd and a GV650 in the shop at the same time and they really don't look at all alike in the flesh. The pictures you posted just confirm that cruisers are low slung with big handle bars.

granted in the flesh they will be very different..but from a design point of view, they have a similiar aesthetic - agreed the details are wildly different, but the lines and curves are very similiar, yeah its longer, but n the general sense they look like family, i think.

My overall point being that while Hoyslung or whatever they are called my well be putting out good bikes, their design deptment is stealing from the theives! Thats all.

at the end of the day aren't all cruisers simliar looking?

I look at sports bike and I can't tell one from another.

I wouldn't say that at all, inparticular the V-rod was hearlded as a departure in cruiser design away from the traditional looks and designs.
