Excellent - gonna resign, sell the house, sell the cars, sell the wife, sell the kids just so I can pretend I'm 19 again and go ridin' across the land.

Alternatively I'll just take advantage of the odd weekend when the missus lets me.

The same "experts" a few months ago forecast a dry, mild winter.

I blame the trade union movement.

El Nino actually means really unpredictable weather in NZ. The El Nino year followed by a couple of years of La Nina usually means utterly shit weather for the whole country.

It might be dry, but it will be windy, very windy, and do stuff like hail on Christmas Day.

And the forecast for Thursday? Your guess as good as mine.

Next they'll be telling us that there's global warming, or cooling, or somthing. (Bugger let's call it climate change and then no one can question it).

Hope they're right, and that it's been run through all the requisite computer models.

Perhaps it's summer on it's way.
