Apparrently they fizzled out simply because of darkness and cold - which makes sense.

I'd just not like to see this year end on a fizzle (or drizzle!)

Yeah, we kept going for months after daylight savings ended. Those were some scary rides with the Fixxers ridiculous headlights. Haha

Actually, this house wot we live in isn't the cosiest on days like this. The owners scrimped on heating, knowing it was being built to be a rental.
It has two electric wall heaters to its name!! We were forced in to buying a portable gas heater thingy which will never win any design awards for style.
Despite the great view from the living area, we can't wait to get into our new place....

You're more than welcome to come over though Jude if you fancy some company and don't mind the cat lolloping all over you. He's like that you know. Must take after me!

Well, it's stopped raining here in Kapiti now for long enough for the roads to start drying out, but it's still really windy. I'm going to stop tormenting myself and say now that I'm not going out tonight. I might see y'all next week.

Thanks for the offer Rich. Have a friend staying over tonight tho and got a sales meeting to go to (yes, Avon ladies have meetings too...it's not all glamour in this industry you know ). No rest for the wicked or the poor *sigh*

And whilst I would love the cat lolloping over me, my 4 would be horrified and I'd be held to ransom for treats for the following week at least.....!

We do need to sort out a get together when Dave's back tho

(BTW, we have some oil filled radiators you can borrow if you need some extra as a stop-gap til your new place is finished)

Maybe a good opportunity to go and see that Wildhog movie for a laugh. In the cage, of course.

No problem Jude... Yes for the get-together...no need for the OFR, forgot to include that in our extra heat source inventory. So we already have one. Then of course, there is also the electric blanket!!! Adds a whole new dimension to cosy night in aye?
