can you make my RF handle like your K5?

dude, from watching you fly through Barregarroo Crossroads, down the hill and outta sight towards Kirk Michael, to possibly having you help me set the bike up... too much!!!

i feel a "BOP crew" ride coming on....

Hi Shaun, I sent you an email, but it was through the kiwibiker email thingy and I don't know if you got it or if it was sent to an inactive email address.

Anyway, I am another in desperate need of suspension setup. I am a complete noob with regard to suspension adjustment as pretty much all of my previous experience has been on the completely non-adjustable CBR250RR.

I have now come into possession of a very nicely modified CBR600RR that is going to take me quite some time to pay off, and it has an Ohlins rear shock and revalved front forks. I took it out on the practice day before the last VMCC meeting, and the suspension was way too hard, I will be at the next Manfeild practice day just before the penultimate VMCC round, and plan on racing it in F2 at that meeting. However, until I have it set up properly, I'm going to be crapping my pants riding it hard, as last time, I was losing my footing from hitting bumps, and ended up with my nuts pressed on the tank.

So I suppose my first question should be, will you be at Manfeild on the 22nd or 23rd of September?
And if so, will you have the time and the inclination to help me setup the bike so that I can ride it as hard as I've been riding my 250?
If not, I might be able to get it to you on the Sunday afterwards, but it's quite difficult to get there at any other times seeing as I'm from Auckland.

If you aren't able to do it on either of those two days, I totally understand, cause I have seen how busy you are at the track, and I'm sure that I'll be able to get some other KB'er to have a crack at it.

[Edit] I notice that you don't plan on doing any work on race days which is totally fair. I could get the bike to you on the Friday the 22nd, it just means that I'll have to miss the practice day. I would gladly miss the practice day to get the bike set up properly.

    Cheers.

I don't know on the 600, but was doing 1:27.1 on the CBR250. You probably already know that.

So when will your beast be ready to join me?

Racers are different dude, just edited the part about not helping others at the track, anyway

Take a look at the spring in the rear of your bike, write down all the numbers you can see for me, and PM them to me- Is yours an 04RR

Will be there on Friday to help you mate.

Damn, you are a legend. I'll get onto getting those numbers for you tomorrow.

I think it is an 04 RR. It was run previously by the Museum Hotel Racing Team apparently, so I think I got pretty lucky with my score.

I think the springing on my 1970 triumph is overcoming the dampening... I just can't find the adjustment points. Sitting a case of beer on the tank seems to help but I'm developing an addiction to beer and as the ride goes on, the load gets lighter and I end up back where I started (except I no longer care)

    Can you help?

No, I can tolerate the harsh ride - I just need more beer...
