The Moto Guzzi guys in the USA use a 'fuel cell' on the rear of the bike and an electric fuel pump to transfer contents to the main tank. Some of them can go 700km plus without getting off the bike..... Crazy yanks..

Lids on coke bottles are a softer plastic. Doesn't it eat through the lid seal? Do you have to pack em bottles so they can only standing upright?

I don't know about the colour change, any I've stored for any length of time has had 2 stroke oil mixed with it, and still worked fine. The stuff carried on the bike is only in the container for a few hours at the most.
I had a bottle of coke fall off the back of the bike once, it had coke in it and wasn't secured very well. The guy riding behind me wasn't very impressed when he rode his nice shiny new ZX1100 (I think that's right - litre sized ninja a few years ago) through a coke cloud. It was a very sticky bike when we stopped a few km up the road and he didn't seem to see the funny side![]()

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!
Yeah id say you could call that normal. Petrol goes off over time, and being stored in smaller containers makes it go off faster. To change color it must have been sitting for awhile. tiny containers like dirt bike fuel bowls, can make the fuel go off within a week or two, to the point they wont start till you get fresh fuel thru. At 1.5L It`ll problery still burn, but i wouldnt expect top performance from it.
