I am so pleased that in my days of youthful folly, full face helmets had not been invented, and bikes had magnetos, and were not reliant on batteries. But one of the most difficult cleaning jobs is removing spew that has been baked into the fins of an aircooled engine.

M'self, I blame the electric starter (makes a change from blaming Mr Biff. But he prolly is to blame anyway. Cos he's Welch y'know). Back in the day if you were sober enough to kickstart a big single (a taxing exercise even when sober) y'could reckon you were OK to ride. And if weren't like as not the kickstart lever broke your leg.

Two Speights in the first hour for me, one an hour after that. Works for me.

And, no, I don't know why the devolutionary element of society have to get their jollies from hassling anyone they think is different. Personally, if I have any problems at a watering hole or such like, I simply leave (and at times I've done so without paying, if I haven't finished a meal). And don't go back. Over the course of a year, I spend a fair bit of coin at such establishments. If one of them doesn't want their share, that's OK by me, there are plenty of others who do.

I smoke prolifically when I ride. In fact occasionally motorists have difficulty seeing me for smoke. Wonderful it is

What a funny place to live in.

Long term hard learned lesson, piss and motorbikes are "not" a good mix, keep them separate and enjoy both.

What do you do that makes other people identify you as a lesbian or any other kind of ian?
Do all you Aucklanders have to walk around with a freaking great "label" on to tell everyone what sort of ....?...(whatever) you are?
Is it important to now all that?
If I sit down and have a chat, beer, etc with you, do I have to declare that I am a heterosexual male Caucasian catholic of Welsh Scots Isle of Man decent and a fourth generation Pakeha New Zealander, before I can chat to you about "motorbikes"? Our only common interest!
Auckland has sure changed since I lived there then!
I don't give a stuff who or what your preferences are, I just want to talk about bikes to you. No labels needed. John.

I need faces to put in my voyeuristic girl-on-girl fantasies, dude. Don't deny me one of life's small pleasures.

No offence taken... it is pretty obvious... me and my mates (and Sam) are not your type of lesbians that look like every other chick out there, we all have short spiked hair, pretty much all wearing "butch-ish to boyish" clothes... my mates are very staunch, Sam is often confused as a boy... then a gay boy... and then omg... its a lesbian... the 3 stages of looking at Sam for the first time... its hard to explain... but believe me... you'd know if you saw us...

We promise not to judge you on being lesbians as long as you give us all free access to that website your going to run from home

Surprised in this day and age you got that much flack in a bar, particularly in dorkland which is the multicultural PC capital of the world I thought. I'm pretty redneck and even I dont mind lesbians snoggin in public as long as they are beautiful people. Scary old middle aged lesbians going at it are like fat people in lycra, its just not kosher on the eyes!

lol thanks Sarge and Lias... but yeah you'd be surprised at how many are negative towards us... not just in pubs... we walk down queen st and still have people shouting things out to us... and those homie types following us up the road making comments... its all part and parcel of being who we are... 9 times out of 10, its easy to just brush it off and ignore it... but sometimes its a lot harder... and for me... especially when they pick on the people i care about (ie Sam)

But like you said Sarge... they could do worse than having us as friends
