Deals Gap/Tail of the Dragon

Much talked about section of road in America that i have heard about via the R6 forums i post on that are largely based in the US. Superdave just bout this website to my attention which has some cool pics of some locals that ride it frequently.

Check out the link to the 'tail of the dragon' and then from there 'how to ride the dragon' there are some interesting writeups about the road, and some very familiar looking corners including the one featured in a video when a Harley attempted to pass a camper and dropped off the side of the road. However it has a downside, not cops but trucks!!! Check out these dimwit truck drivers who dont know whats good for them, or unfortunately dont know the area and didnt know what was up ahead!

there is also good video footage here with a lineup of other videos from the same guy mainly recored on this strech of road.

All i can say is that im going to include this area in my travels when i got to America!

dude .. you cant go wrong .. i used to ride that road as often as i could when i was back home.. brilliant strip of tarmac...

Awesome, heard about this legendary piece of tarmac and now I'm reading about it. Will definitely ride this when I do the bike tour of USA!

Try Big Sur when your at it. Another legendary bit of highway.

Hehehe, yeah that it is, I'll be doing that stretch again when I go down to the South with my two wheels...should do that at the end of the school year! Hmmm...
