Experience......something you get just after you needed it
wife brought my 2 piece suit in aussie when i was over there for my honey moon few years back, first time i been able to find a suit that fitted me off the rack.
we been married about 3 1/2 years now, held up good, few rub marks from where i put my bag over my sholder. But i have never been down on them, never plan on either. But leather is plenty thick, and sitching as is all good
Don't know about the leathers, but as a comparison the KBC VR-2 Road/Race helmet is also made with a "composite epoxy" aka fibreglass shell. It costs $329 AUD for a plain helmet and $399 AUD for a graphics helmet. That compares with $229 AUD for the RJays GP-1 plain colour and $249 AUD for the GP-1 graphics helmet.
Wife landed a two piece Alpinestars suit in NZ for $1,000. If you want a decent brand you don't have to pay a fortune for it!
Co-pilot has had a pair of RJays leather jeans for about 3 years now.
Still in good order.
I was wearing some before I lost a heap of weight.
We both rated the brand as good value for money when we bought it at Parramatta.
I have an RJays jacket I would recommend.
Is there any more news on the helmets? My missus is keen on the pink one (typical) but it does make a nice difference from the black/white and will look awesome when she is on her street magic![]()
Thats the smell of desire my lady..

wife was a bit worried about that, but she measued all her bits and pieces, and got the suit that matches best, eg alpinestar as a guide to what size suit will fit what size inseam etc etc etc.
I've got an R-Jays leather jacket I've crashed twice in - no upper body injuries - jacket is a bit fucked though - in one crash I wore cordura trousers with padding and I still limp and have to go to physio.
It (the jacket) did exactly what it said on the tin as far as I'm concerned.
I found it difficult to get a reasonably priced leather jacket with hard armour that wasn't black. The R-Jays seemed to be the only one with a big block of colour for under $800 - other than that it's wearing one of those high visibility vests that flap about in the wind like a sail bleeding a good 10% of the power of a 250!
In space, no one can smell your fart.
I have a RJays Razor helmet that I got off Trademe but I want a smoked visor or something that they have on their website, where do we go in NZ for that does anyone know who their importer is if any?
Woah, this threads 2 years old!
I was thinking, I don't see the big fuss about getting hold of Rjays gear i've had mine for years now ..
Anyhow, to answer the last question - first post of this thread mentions the importer ..
"Yes,the RJays helmets will be available in NZ,available thru PRV imports (64 9 820 3512).And yes,there is a tinted visor available (RJH7VDS),RRP is $39.95."
Not sure if people get annoyed with thread dredges or not here on KB.
i bought an rjays razor helmet in new zealand over a year and a half ago. the visor scratches quite easy and the ive had to re glue the little plastic vent things on, not that they ever realy closed properly anyway.
I have RJays Cordura Evo jacket and trousers and I great I highly recommend them. They both have zipped vents for the hot days and both are lined for the cooler ones. I haven't the problem other people have had with other brands about the crutch leaking in the rain... but like anything in continuous heavy rain it will eventually give...
I am going back to leather but will be keeping the cordura, so I can pick and choose...
i picked the helmet up for next to nothing so I cant complain. Ive tried geting intouch with PRV Imports but cant???
for the money, RJays are not bad stuff at all. Got some cool graphic helmets like the samurai series
