As per the legal requirements. These were noise tests as they will be carried out at testing centres.

I know there would be a few of us on here (myself included) that would be interested in seeing just how loud our bikes are. Any chance that the boss would allow an open day sort of thing for a quick unofficial test? Assuming it only takes a minute or two (presumably you just have to fire the bike up and take a couple of quick readings?), most wouldnt complain even if they charged a nominal fee. Good publicity for AMPS, could be a few ancillary sales as a result.

Not suggesting it as a money making thing, but even if you charged $10, it would hopefully either cover any costs of doing it, or provide some beer money for the boys, with the added benefit of bringing a lot of bikers into the store.

Interesting results, I would have assumed a Harley was louder than as shown, something to do with the lower pitch? of the Harley?
What is the max allowed Db, were these bikes legal or not?

The limit is 95 db so they all fail but would still get a WOF.What happens if you are pulled up is another matter. You may then have to present your bike at one of the noise testing premises.
I got a WOF no problem a few weeks back, but could be pulled up based on one persons perception in the middle of no where.
Last year i was told noise level was going to be no louder than the stock system fitted from the factory (To the point you could not fit an SS exhaust system to some other spec Commodore because it was not fitted as standard) They have obviously had a rethink with the motorcyle industry input ?

Edit....... It is on the LTSA ? website.I think the limit for cars is 5 db lower at 90 db..fwiw
