I often wonder how the manufacturers get these numbers. We all know they lie through their teeth when it comes to horsepower and weight.

I suspect their 1/4 mile times are reached by strapping a bike to a rolling road with no rider and controlling the throttle by computer. They might not even go to that trouble and just calculate the acceleration mathematically.

maybe i'm just an old cycnic

Hehheh, the "old Brit thing" was probably a ruddy Manx Norton. Caviga would have been way outclassed. Won't speak for riders, but Anderson was near as good as they get.

Time to bump the ride up again, maybe this week I'll be able to stay with the main group.

Not trying to catch two hoons who were trying to catch the main group, only the main group had turned off Hamilton anyone???

Just as well we all know how to get to the pub.

    cheers

I'll not be there. I'm fitting an electrical socket to the back of my car to go with the towbar so I can fit a trailer so I don't have to borrow Boomer's car to get to Taupo on Saturday.

The above sentence does make sense.
