    Crashed my VFR

An error in judgment now sees my bike is a poor state.

I was at the Tremaine Ave end of Armstrong st waiting to turn right onto Tremaine. Checked left and right, lots of traffic.. Look across at the opposite road (Shelley st). There is no car. Waiting waiting waiting. There's a gap coming from left and right, didn't check Shelley st again. Dumb.

Turn right, "oh look there's a car". Bam.

The cars passenger side bumper hits me on the left. About where the crankcase is.

Totally my fault, no dispute there.

Only injury is minor, a little cut and some bruising on my knee. I was wearing my helmet, jacket and gloves with work overalls underneath, steel cap leather boots on feet.

The ladies car is not bad, bumper is on the piss and the light is crooked. There was no debris or obvious broken stuff from her car.

My vfr's fairing is a mess. The left side crank cover has a hole. The tank is a bit crooked from where the bike fell on my leg on the right. I haven't checked further.

I'm pretty gutted, I know better and shouldn't have been so complacent.

    Give way 101. Fail.

Really? You have never had a lapse of judgement and never crashed? Or a big mouth?

Quite true. Seems lately that anyone who posts they had an incident is instantly being ripped to shreds for not having "enough skill".
Bunch of bull crap. We all learn from our experiences, postive or negative, and to be able to learn from the experiences of others is a major benefit of this site.

So, good on you for posting it up for other people to learn from.

Ignore the knobbers - two of the least respected people on this site from what I can tell.

So what your saying is, you've got absolutely no skill at all.

On a positive note, at least another piece of shit VFR is off the road.
FINE. This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
