I can't make tomorrow night due to work comitments.

I'll be trying to cross the bridge sometime soon for the other Thusday ride too as there are a lot of good blokes/lasses over there whose hands I'd like to shake.

Eat a bit of pizza for me fellas.

    Cheers

What you reckon, all south riders, meet up somewhere, autobarn is on the wrong side of motorway unless you head into town via clevedon, maraetai and ride as a group to the meeting place in town, or we just ride to hells in Kohi and catchup with everyone there.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Yep did the ol'spectacles, testicles check ... new chain and sprocket c/o Colin from Papakura cycles (he put my bike to the front of the queue once he knew I was heading down for the funeral services and got the parts in ASAP).

I did the ol'oil change, tightened up the bolts and nuts, lube the moving bits, washed and polished the bling and knob (ooer!) bits, gave the electrics the once over, packed my bags ... and waiting for the 2am kick off time!

Took the bike for a quick blat out to town and back to get everything tickety-boo. I wish I was going down for other reasons, but some reasons are more relevant than others...

eek! Thanks for the reminder...need to check the tyre pressures too!

Will be wearing the ol'"Watch Out For Motorbikes" safety vest and avoiding Ninja assassin ducks

I'm not going to get pissy about people going off topic, that happens with conversations, be it verbal or written, and I'm as guilty as any.

Let's not take the fun out of everything by being fuckin netiquette nazi's.

I know that things are a bit strained at the moment due to the tragic weekend we've just witnessed but the ride will continue, people can talk bikes or talk shite, I don't care.

But let's just keep talking and riding eh?
you're quite right and i applaud you for that honest observation.
i also applaud you for the fact that you do give out shit but unlike many here, you are not precious when it comes flying back at you.

well done dover, you have my respect (but don't for a minute think that means I'm gonna refrain from reflection)

Right, I'm not even gonna be there but I suggest this as posted by Hellraiser

    Here's an Idea ........

Meet at the usual place at the usual time .....

Ride to the Mobil on Quay St and meet up with the Nth Crew

Then we can all take a slow ride down Tamaki Dr to Hells

    Quite Simple

However, Triclops is correct, it is pointless just going up the motorway SO

    PLEASE

someone with a clue lead the group up thru Clevedon to Howick (either via Brookby or Maraetai) and onwards to meet the northerners at Hell or by the Mobil on Quay St.

Is that simple enough? Or shall I start a new thread, specially for tonight?

    Where's the "usual place" ?

Clevedon->Howick is easy enough (Twilight Road ? Or direct through Whitford) depending on how much time. But from Howick to Quay St you'd have to pretty much ride right past Hells and then come back .

I don't know, without our leader it's so much harder to follow directions

I'm sure we can manage to make our way back into town without using the motorway to much.

    cheers
