    Whats the best sportbike mod.......

I have just installed a 'HEALTECH' GIpro w/ATRE.

An aftermarket Gear Indicator with Advanced Timing Retard Eliminator.

I can now see what gear I'm in which is a nice bonus, more importantly however, it over-rides the factory limiter in gears 1 - 4 and at low RPMs. The bike now pulls cleanly from idle with no hesistation and on my maiden test ride I popped a wheelie from standstill without slipping the clutch, actually without really trying at all. It sounds much better at low RPM's as well.

It has completely changed the bikes throttle response, and its a cheap and easy modification that has not hurt the bike at all whats so ever, I only wish I had done this a year ago..... as far as bang for your buck goes its amazing, anyways its my top mod to date, whats yours?

Hmmm. A retard eliminator. Send me a case!

And my top mod to date? Heated handgrips! Woo hoo!

I would be interested to know if it has an effect on your fuel consumption. Have you noticed in negative effects of putting it in? I've been quite tempted to make one up for my bike - just haven't got round to it yet.
Life is difficult because it is non-linear.

can't really comment about the fuel comp yet, will keep an eye on it, however the advantages are truly mindblowing....its a different bike...end of story...I'm blown away by the new low down throttle response right now, its so much more lively and just as easy to ride...can't see any bad sides so far.

My mods so far... Ammo tin saddlebags, matt green paint, army stencil lettering, offroad tyre for a mudguard, camouflage seat, matt-black engine, and scrapes from dropping it at 70kph. It's not a sports bike tho, although I suppose you could go to a sports game on it.

Thanks, I'm quite amused by the machine myself, I'll post some photos in a few months when it's more finished.

But on a more serious note Dawnrazor, that mod sounds incredible, such a change for so cheap. How is such a thing possible? Why don't the bike companies include it as an option on the higher end sportsbikes?
In other words, what's the downside?

I don't like having to fill up to often. The 600 already sucks enough juice how it is. Any worse and you'd have to start plotting your course based on whether the petrol stations are (Not that I don't do that already to some degree)

Basically you can make one of these contraption up for the cost of a resistor, and switch, wire etc if you not afraid of a soldering iron.

A bolt-on supercharger that adds about 60hp to a stock motor. When I've stopped spending money in all the other places, I'll buy one or two.
    It is what it is

Cages you worry about fuel consumption.... there is a thread here somewhere on a DIY TRE and seeing as I work at a bikeshop im sure the mechanics can point me in the right direction :/

Sounds like a worthy mod indeed. So have you got a link to where you bought it from? How long did it take to install?
