I thought that TRE were available for around $30US?

Gear thing would help, had one on my old 250, sorta missed it on the ZXR, now i just count gears on the R6 (when i need to know) which is what the racers do anyway.

How does your gear change display work?

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    Gadjet man perhaps

Just curious as why any one would need a gear position display unit? I mean, there is no rule that says you must be in this gear to do this, and I am very sure that you would know if you were reving to high or low

Apart from that, taking yours eyes of the INCOMING is what will Hurt you.

so as I said, Just curious as to why?

personally i don't think the TRE did fuck all really to my 600. did improve it a touch, but not that much, it did make a huge difference to the fueling on the 1k and the busa tho.

Best bang for buck mod i have done in 2 1/2 years is doing my sprockets(change the gearing)

Ripping out the baffles on my Hornet. I could hear my exhaust note which seems to be an octave lower than my cam chain sound (?) and encouraged me to rev the bike more. Definitley transformed my riding.

I can now see what gear I'm in which is a nice bonus, more importantly however, it over-rides the factory limiter in gears 1 - 4 and at low RPMs. The bike now pulls cleanly from idle with no hesistation and on my maiden test ride I popped a wheelie from standstill without slipping the clutch, actually without really trying at all. It sounds much better at low RPM's as well.

It has completely changed the bikes throttle response, and its a cheap and easy modification that has not hurt the bike at all whats so ever, I only wish I had done this a year ago..... as far as bang for your buck goes its amazing, anyways its my top mod to date, whats yours?
I've fitted a TRE to my Busa and it has made it much more responsive down low and also smoothed the engine a lot in the lower gears. Just gotta keep an eye on the rear tyre in the wet though! Cost $43 US and it has to be a good value mod.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Haven't bought it yet but I read that K&N, BMC or one of those other brands of air filters can improve performance. Anyone testify to this?

I,ve started training and can never sleep for about 3 weeks into it untill my body and mind gets used to having all the extra energy.

Got to agree with jonbouy about the rider training. The next best mod (in my opinion) is a quality rear shock. They are worth about the same as 10hp in terms of speed, acceleration (out of a corner), not to mention safety and comfort. Buy WP.
