250 dirt bike

how much would it cost to get a road worthy 250cc 4 stroke dirt bike and 17inc rims to fit road tyres on it.? you know for a supermoto conversion. i got a advised to get a 250 dirt bike with road tyres to start stunting on.
nothing fancy and it could be older but good nick

Well my old bike cost me $10,000 and the supermoto conversion cost me a bottle of JB. For stunting, a 250 4 stroke may be a little underpowered. A 250 2 stroke would be more ideal and would cost a little less than a high perfomance 4.

The cost of making a dirt bike road worthy is pretty high as well. If you don't mind sacrificing performance for maintenance an XR250 or similar would be the way to go.

Let me know how you get on. The more supermoto's tearing up the roads the better!
