    Stupid @#$* and MissSniper

On Thursday MissSniper was coming home from work round 1830 and came up to a set of lights behind some stupid fuck in a gold corolla. She had been following him for the past 10 minutes and he said he knew she was behind him most the time.

They had been stopped at the lights for about 10secs when the stupid fuck decided to switch lanes and reversed straight into her!! He stopped immediately but still managed to knock her off balance and make her drop the bike onto herself. She came out OK with a large bruise on her calf and a cut on her foot, but she was pretty shaken. At least it hasnt put her off bikes.

My favourite part is his excuse was, "I checked my side mirrors and you werent there." What a stupid C%$t! In the great words of Vincent from Snatch, "When you reverse, things come from behind you".

I only found this out over the phone and after I got there to pick her and the bike up and he had left. Stupid fucker was lucky, in my opinion, that wasnt an accident, it was an act of fucken stupidity and I wanted to tell him that. In a guys point of veiw, you would take a more serious veiw of a dickhead hitting your missus than you would if he hit you. First time I have been angry in years.

Bikes not the best. Bars at a 30 degree angle when you ride in a straight line. Front gaurd is fucked. Left side fairings are fucked and Im not sure on the status of the fork seals. His insurance company are going to ring us and let us know what to do (Dont get me started on the fucken insurance.) For those in the insurance industry, quick question, if his insurance company want to write the bike off, do I have the option of saying no? If I don't, how will they determine the value of the bike?

    Cheers

An amazing act of gross stupidity! Where did he think she disappeared to? I'm glad she is ok, tho its a shame about the bike. Good luck with the insurance.

Go and get quotes from bike shops, the non wanker ones will give you a fair value of the bike pre crash wankers like red baron are just wankers....... I know your in chch...... my car had the same thing too much to fix and they paid out a very fair value! Through ASB I think.

Thats if the valuer they send round gives you an unfair value, I got more than what my car was worth so I didnt have to do that, but had to when my bike went walking as they had devalued it something chronic!

What is it about Toyotas, reversing lights and bikes behind them? I blame the Labour Government!

Sounds like a royal fucken dipshit. Hope you manage to screw him and his insurance company for every cent it requires to get the bike back up to standard.

Shit I've never thought about someone reversing into my at and intersection, might just start filtering to the front of the queue everytime now.

Cheers for the offer THM but I think we will be OK. I need to get her car to our mechanics to get the water pump done and then she will be mobile again.

Thanks again for the offer though

I'm glad that MissSniper came out of it without serious injury. It could have been a lot worse.

As to the insurance, I believe that if they wish to write it off, then they probably can. But I also believe that rather than receive a fair monetary value that you have the option of asking that it be replaced with a similar model, of similar age, and in similar condition. That solves any arguments as to value.

Sucks so much man. I reckon you should get compo for time loss and inconvieance. Let us know how you get on with the con artists (insurance).
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Similar thing happened to me about a month ago. Old dude checked his side mirror and gassed it in to me, hard.

Got the old "I didn't see you!" in a tone of voice that suggested it was my fault.

He was fair shitting himself 'cos I look about 100kgs in my riding gear, and I was clearly pretty fucked off...a bit of calm and I got an apology and a written admission of fault from him...so all good.

I really hope that the insurance co. doesn't pull any funny business, as a nose to tail is usually assumed to be the fault of the person behind. He could say that she ran in to him, and there's fuck all that you could do without proof that he has admitted fault.

well its good to hear your missus is ok apart from the bruise, so did a cop turn up at the scene? reason is so that he could take down a statement on what happened and whose fault it was, and that could be used when making a claim.
you should get your insurance company onto it asap so they will contact his insurance company for their claim form etc. make sure you got all his details phone number etc. my insurance company rang the guy that hit my car, and they said that if he said he didnt hit my car then i could make a claim but my premiums will go up, but if he said if did hit my car then he will have to pay out and my premiums wont go up. hence that is why it is good to have a cop on the scene.
if you let his insurance company handle it they'll probably fuck you around for ages.
