I was looking for pictures of Marco Melandri drifting at Philip Island, and I found this picture. Its fucking cool, but does anyone know the story behind this special paint job as I have never seen it before, and the web site I got it from is in Spanish.

That was a one off paint job he used as apromotion for the spiderman 2 movie when it was released.

Yeah was at estoril last year. Him and carlos checa were painted up like that.

Of course, I thought it may have been somthing like that after I posted the thread, I wonder if they would do it again for Spiderman 3, with the black evil Spiderman.

That was the custom paint job he got made up for one motogp race (during 04?). The fairings and leathers were to be auctioned off on ebay for charity but he ended up crashing out big time with him taking a big tumble and the fairings being smashed into a million pieces. Not sure how the auction went.
