Gives new meaning to Scotland The Brave - it gets fearsome cold there...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

A comment made by Sam, our (my office) resident Scott, upon my showing her this video clip "I thought it was only dumb Americans who referred to we Scots as Scotch. Scotch is a bloody whisky FFS".

Given it was for a whisky advertisement, I thought the use of Scotch would be OK?

www.haggis.co.nz for the world's best haggis. Lovely stuff!

    things that are Scotch:

    Scotch Eggs
    Scotch Mist
    Scotch Whisky
    Hop Scotch
    Butterscotch

The people of Scotland are Scots or Scottish - the local lingo is called Scots Tongue (unless you're a cheuchter in which case it's Gaelic) this is words like kirk, bairn, unco, wee, brig, ken, doon, ocht etc.

As King Sean Connery says "Here endeth the lesshon"

Actually in strict English terms "Scotch" is not incorrect, seeing as it was used in a "patronising or faintly offensive" method.

I agree with Hitcher, it's an advert for scotch whisky, and is THEIR haka, not the Scottish peoples - otherwise it would have to be "The Scot's Haka", you lot are correct about that.

Give me enough scotch and Ill have a go at most things - including Scots!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them
