You go girls!! After my eeforts today (after the hill no less) I'll definitely be riding with you next weekend (BE GENTLE WITH ME)

Merv, Jim2 - where were you today? I went up the hill to meet the HBers. FJ and Andrieus were there and a couple of others...

Bad news is I seemed to get a bloody lurgy yesterday so have laid low a bit making sure I shake it pronto and don't stuff my holiday trip to Brizzy this week.

I'd kept an eye on this thread http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=35972 but no mention of a meeting point so in the end stayed home and off the bike because of lurg.
    Cheers

    Merv

I agree - which is why we pulled over several times (as soon as it was safe to do so) to let faster traffic past.

What I presume you're saying is more people should do this? I agree with that, too. Especially when I get stuck behind some nana doing 35 kph (cage drivers) in the 70 kph section round the bays to Eastbourne. I don't mind if they don't know the road and so want to go slow, but for craps sake...let others past!

All in all an enjoyable day...right up until I watched the rugby...

    Well done.

I'll be expecting you to show me the way around and which race lines to take over the hill when I come down from Auckland on my bike.

I agree with your comments Jim2.

To state the rhetorical truth - a good majority of motorist in Auckland city seem to have this mentality.
