Down to Rotorua, then back up into mid Waikato, then all around between Tirau and Cambridge and finishing up over the Kaimais and back to Tauranga.

you're just another lost soul about to be mine again
see her, you'll never free her
you must surrender it all
And give life to me again
Disturbed - Inside the Fire
Took the gixxer to Kaiaua for lunch and back.
Saw a gay pride parade. Thou some might pronounce it "Scooter rally". Oh well, you say tomato. I say tomahto.
Saw lots of bikes on the road so I guess the fair weather riders have pulled their bikes out of winter storage.
There's a new R1200 RT in the garage that needs running in (not my bike, but I have the use of it).
Rode from Auckland to Thames and filled up the bike. Followed the coast up to Coromandel and over the hill to Whitianga. Bloody beautiful - the Thames to Whitianga road on a clear day is easily one of the best biking roads in the world.
Followed the other coast down to Pauanui and stopped for a feed. Pauanui is still a complete shit-hole but the cafes are worth the detour.
Continued down to Whangamata then past Whiritoa to Waihi. Came back through the gorge. Took the main road back through Paeroa and continued back to Auckland.
Total distance around 500km. The 1200 RT handled like a dream (definitely a big step forward from the older 1150 RT).
UP NORF![]()
Up & down dalefield Road in Carterton a bunch of times at around 265km/hr, completely legal of course.
Blah - couldn't ride today because I had to go to work. Then I had to go to the fire station for some brigade photos then I had to go to my brother-in-law's to run him back from the airport so he could drop the car off for my sister...well, you get the idea...I feel your pain, Buck!
But yesterday I went over to Martinborough and back - that was awesome...
Me and my imaginary friend have been goin' round the bend for some time now....
Up and down the driveway. Just fitted my new chain.
just to turakina and back....finished work at 2. not bad going down, but windy as hell coming back....the wind was catching the helmet and making my whole head vibrated something awful. got ignored by 3 trikes [wont wave to trikes now...] and got a few waves from 2 wheelers.
ran into the local triumph club at a bar, so hung around there for a while. one of the guys has had his tank repainted and it looks awesome! its got tigers on it...wicked job. will take photos at some stage.
lots of bikes come through work today....best lot was a group of about 5 harleys and a triumph, heading north from woodville. [going to opunake or somewhere] there was a chick on as blue sporty. fairly friendly bunch.
not a bad day, but the wind picked up and made it less enjoyable.

the really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.
I would have loved to have ridden again today, but alas i have been sitting here since about 10:30am typing up a uni assignment...maybe another day this week.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
Did a dry run of the route I need to take tomorrow for a job interview. Took 22 minutes. I'll add 10 more for traffic and 5 more just to make sure. I'm being interviewed for a 'Payroll / HR Coordinator' position.
Grow older but never grow up
We went out through the back roads of Pukekohe, had a peek at the race track and then to Port Waikato. Back through to Tuakau for lunch. On the way back to the motorway we came across the cars heading to Puke racetrack for the Peter Brock memorial. Was an awesome sight.
