    Oko to smoko, top bloko!

Did the run out to Okokoire and then when I got back to Auckland, decided I needed to get rid of the 5 litres of 98 I put into a jerry-can (in case of emergencies on the trip!).

Pootled around and funnily enuff I ended up opposite WarlockNZ on the Mt.Eden hill looking at One Tree Hill!

Hit North Shore and caught dinner with a mate and then took a long slow ride taking in Freeman's Bay, Mission Bay, Mt.Wellington, Panmure, Pakuranga, Howick, Botany through to Manukau Heights, back of Alfriston into Manuwera and on the home straight back to Takanini.

Simply Marveeeellllousss! This much fun should be illegal! Oh wait...it already is!

Thanks, but no, thanks! Your bike is like a fuzz attractor - I reckon they use it as a reference point to start pinging other bikers (Come in Silverado, your number is up!). j/k - if I was arsed to pull my binocs from the tank bag and squizzed your position, reckon I woulda seen you!

Up 16 to Mangawhai for lunch with Motobob.

Damn nice weather and nice to get out for a decent ride. Holeshot have fixed the running problems with the Trumpy and it's running MUCH better.
    240km on 13.5L zinging. Yay.

13,000km's on my Metzeler M3's though. They aint feeling so good anymore

I was slack and didn't get out until 1:00pm but managed a quick 400 ks.... I decide to slow down to 110 on the 27 straight before 26 and the dogleg to Tirau... A car is slowly catching up in the mirror and pass's me at around 120 something,i wonder what he said when the only oncoming vehicles grill turned into a christmas tree.. ........ As per usual the TL just rumbled along

Hahaha - don't you just love that?. Mangell6 was riding up from Wellington and I rode down towards Whakamaru from Tokoroa to meet him. We crossed and as I turned round to catch him up, I gunned it up the hill and only vaguely took notice to 2 vehicles coming the other way. Suddenly, my detector went off in my ear 'ole and one of the cars was clearly a mufti. Just kept going on the premise that it would take a while for him to turn round if he intended to chase and turned up a country lane just outside Tokoroa. All was well fortunately.

I rode into work and back Sunday morning (Stokes Valley – Wellington)
Nice wee trip, although the near gale force Northerly on the way back seemed to want to rip my helmet and head off. (maybe i just need a better helmet)

Saw a few bikes on the trip back to Lower hutt. (They all passed me as I putted along at 100kph)

Saturday was spent riding around Lower/Upper Hutt with one nice ride into Whiteman’s Valley from the Upper Hutt end. (had to turn around as my mate's fuel light started flashing)

Went home (whangarei) from auckland on sunday after going there friday nights for a mates stag doo. Lot of traffic on the road thank you school holidays stuck to SH1...bad mistake.

So heading north and heres this fucking caravan hauler doing 60 in the 100 zone with at least 20 cars behind the stupid old cunt driving....so he got the big finger from me as i raced past stupid bastard check your mirrors and pull over you're just pissing everybody off!!

Amazingly some car drivers actually pulled to the side to let me go past....i gave em a wave. Its not hard to say Thanks mates with a wave.

But what the fuck is it with other bikers out there NOT waving. Hell, i wave at mostly anyone on 2 wheels and so see someone on a bike on the open road.....i give em a wave. But it seems motorcyclist are becoming like car drivers, they aren't waving anymore. Their loss, i'll still wave on.

Anyhow nice quick trip home on shit roads
    9 down 26 to go

Good onya McJim for mentioning this. How many of us do review our techniques and safety strategies, it would be good to see this mentioned on the Sunday ride posts...if I remember I will mention it next time round when I post 'Where Did You Ride...'

    Heads Up and Enjoy

What is this "winter storage" you speak of???

Why would anyone want to store a bike over winter?
