According to that site you can, but you'd be stoopid to take it..
Its a risk you take for breaking the license conditions

On another note, whats with lower profile tyres bit in the mods??

You mean that prick that used to tell me and Jeff to pull our heads in and try to act responsibly especially when we arrived back with Robbie Deans in tow and our bikes hanging of the trailers cause we were racing home from Puke at over a 100mph with the old KOON and a box on the front seat

How the hell are ya mate

At 27% you are betting that you WILL completely write your bike off in less than 3 years or it just doesn't make economic sense.

Why, exactly do you want me to call you stupid?

Remember getting thrown out of MacDonalds for trying to serve Johnny F. and me?

Bugger, If that really did happen, I must have an alchohol problem! What would I be doing leaving the pub in the first place

Mate, there seems to be a mistake as there is no premium I would do that is 27% of the bikes value...

You can get insurance on any licence provided you are riding a bike with the correct cc rating for your licence, as stated in your licence conditions. A learners licence for example, restricts you to 250cc bikes....so as long as you dont break the law that way the licence should have no immediate bearing on insurance.

If you are decent sized bloke like me you can fill out a form and be allowed to ride a bigger bike. I can't rember the forms name but you take a photo of you on a tiny bike like a scooter and then on a say 600 sports tourer send it in with the form and all of a sudden you are able to ride the big bike on a learners

i'd rather not take the chance with some of the fuckwit retard drivers i see down here ..

my last accident 3 years ago, i was sitting at a light .. not splitting.. first in line .. guy in a delivery van cuts a corner by over a metre and goes right into my headlight .. i was well within my lane.. both feet down and i get hit writing off the front of my FJ.. $8000 worth of damage and somehow it turned out that it was a ' no-fault' accident.. but HE ran the yellow and hit a stationary vehicle..

my dome bounced off his hood.. my bike ended up 2 feet shorter and i had to claim because no-one was at fault ..

thankfully.. i was working at a bike shop at the time .. i got employee discounts on parts ( upgrades were cheaper than OEM anyway) .. i could do a few things myself... and i had an inside line to Protecta who agreed not to write it off ...

so yea i'll pay for good insurance .. its stupid not to have it from a reputable company who you can trust ..

i dont hang around for long when i go out on a ride .. on the off chance that i run out of talent on the entrance to a corner, overcook it and highside.. i want my bike back as good or better than it was ..

no, i dont want a new bike .. i have too much blood , sweat and tears as well as close to $7000 invested in it AFTER the purchase price ..i bought the FJ out of the container, fresh from Japan and had it dropped off at my house where i assembled it and serviced it myself..pretty much like giving birth to it..i want a company that will understand that and get me back on the road ASAP on MY bike.

my cage is insured 3rd party/ fire/ theft.. that dont matter.. costs me $200 a year and im good with that..

my bike is part of me however and the company i insure with will understand that before they see one dollar out of me

buy all the hot shit new models you want .. its a special relationship you develop with a machine you build yourself..its not the fastest on the planet .. ive had my ass handed to me by a few bikes..(its not slow in anyones book however,,) it wont handle like a Gixxer and it dont brake like an R1.. this is a bike you have to actually RIDE..not just point it into a corner and hang on..

us older guys who know how to do more than just bolt pipes on know what i mean.. bikes were not throwaway in our day.. ask around as to how many of us built a bike out of a few boxes of bits and you will understand what it feels like

there IS a difference between a Biker and someone who rides bikes

    im a biker..
