i think the best you can do is insure your track bike for transit to and from the track in case it falls off the trailer/van etc. protecta is most likely to do some sort of track day insurance out of anyone. could be wrong tho...
Hahaha - Nearly fooled us there Q.
If ya crash on the track just drive it up the road and ...er ... crash again!!![]()
Not even with yours!!!
Is that how you claim ACC? Sprain you ankle walking home from the pub, limp to work, then pretend to fall over a staple?Originally Posted by duckman

Anyway, probably doesn't count, because the Ducati keytag is only in the pocket of my jacket, and doesn't have bike or car keys attached to it.
The FahrtSturm has a Mickey Mouse key ring. I'm not sure if that's significant or not.:confused2

OK. That pisses me off.Originally Posted by duckman
If you take the risk of using your road bike on a track without first arranging insurance, then it's up to you to repair it if you crash it. Why should I have to pay with higher premiums because other riders choose to do the dodgy as you've suggested?
Some companies will cover you for approved training days on the track, but I don't know about just plain old track days though.

Doesnt sound like it is possible to get such Insurance, Im not taking my Ducati on the track unless its insured, Im having a run of BAD LUCK latelyand I dont want to tempt any more coming my way.

Its your choice ultimately but the track is safer than the road. I don't mean that just in terms of bodily injury after binning but I am also saying that the chance of having an off is far less because of the nice run off areas on the track. If you do choose to go on the track, you'll most probably have a ball and you'll find out that there will only be a real risk of binning it if you choose to push your limits far beyond what you are comfertable with. Most road riders do end up having a good time by going around at their own pace.Originally Posted by Quasievil

Maybe I will see what the weather is like on the day and make a judgement call then?
