You should still follow up with the Council so they can remove the hazard if it is that bad. Some non KBer might hit it.

    similar exp

i had a similar exp in a cage once...
I was Driving my GF's pulsar..it was down a country road, quite twisty, and it had just started to lightly rain...came around a corner and there was a strip of freshly sealed road about 7m long and 2m wide, smack bang in the middle of a tight banked blind corner.
my girl was in the car with me, i must admit, i was going my usual "dry" speed.
next thing you know the car is sideways and heading for the bank...at about 70kph...on a single lane country road.
it feels like its fuck'n near to that front wheel drive "point of no return"
I wrestle it back to correct it, whilst on the brakes...cause their aint much room left...I just make it, one wheel goes 40cm onto the grassy bank, the car is still in a slide, it fishtails down the road till i feel safe to apply power to pull it straight.
man, thats alot of of words to describe 5 sec.
what i find helps with control of such situations is to think what you would do if this happened..do this when your riding, then it comes natural.

This happened on SH1 at Mercer about a year ago. Two cars hit a huge pot hole and both had blow outs. They got the Transit guys to pay for the damage. It had been reported but they chose to do nothing. funny thing was it must have claimed about 10 cars as the area was littered with hub caps that had come off due to the buckling of the car rims.

My advise is to call the council and also report it to the Police on *555. It can be a pain to try and report it , but half the time the councils and transit guys have no idea what the dumb monkeys have been up to on the roadway and most do not know how to correctly sign post road hazards.

BK you finaly got out for a ride.

There was a "pot hole " on the ridge down there that was a good few meters across and dropped at least a foot but they fixed that now
