If you ask around you might find someone who will ride it up for you as long as you pay for gas etc.

Nice. Congrats, take it easy and ride safe. You'll have a blast! Great timing as well, with summer just around the corner

I think I'd rather ship it up in a truck... but that is a good idea. Thanks

Sweet, I learned that its best to start really slow and get it right. Kinda learnt my lesson the hard way though! Mentl Trousers is right, if you ask nicely someone may just do that. Be alot cheaper!

Oh and sign up for the track day. It'll be the most fun you have on your bike and you'll learn 10x more in 1 day than you would otherwise.

Taupo and ashburton are both on SH1.. so you should be able to get a good backload rate. That means shop around ! If you can only get it as far as Levin, you can store it here if you want. Other KBers may be able to assist too.

Uhhhhh take a flight down, take a couple of hours easy to get used to the bike (or teach yourself to ride on the way...) and ride it up to Taupo?

Lucky living in taupo, I soo wish I could go to the track day but I have an exam the following monday... maybe the next one.

Nice bike and congrats by the way... when I got my bike, it was a bit of a toss up between the two... it would make for a great learner's bike!
I have deep pockets. It's just that it's a deep empty pocket...........
