IF THE F1 LIGHT IS COMING ON THAT MUST BE RACE MODE , YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED IF THE FI LIGHT COMES ON THO

Yeah. Guess all those Hondas, Yammys, Kwaks and Harleys passing you counts as abuse...

Mighty impressive if suzuki has realised their customers are going to get abused by other riders

Sure, I've had issues with 2 of my brand new gixxers but like any mass produced hi tech consumer electronics there are going to be minor issues, especially on brand new models like the 06 600/750.

Did you trawl any honda/yamaha/kawasaki sites to looke for other similar bitching from the septics?

I believe your issue lies with the workshop that have failed to rectify the problem with your bike, and who also dragged their heels with my two problems. Given the performance of the machine and the countless trouble free km you have ridden on it to start calling it a heap of shit now is down to frustration. Go have a wank and rethink getting a honda.

You'll regret it, cos it'll be shit and I'll call you a poof.

Sure did Ben..Honda sites seem almost silent by comparison.
It suprises me you stick up for Suzuki when the last two Suzuki's purchased by yourself have broken down.
The SET valve causes the F1 light to come on which is not a big deal in itself [apart from the overheating and rpm restriction!?] However each time you are forced to take it back to the dealer to have it checked which after a few times becomes more than just a little annoying. The following are your words from Gixxer.com

I picked up my k6 750 on Monday and after about 600km the fuckin FI light has come on and the thing wont rev over 6000rpm.

Fucking Suzuki's. When they go they are great but their electrickery is a bit suspect in my experience. My second K5 thou had the shits with its immobilizer system and only one key would work on it. So I back flipped it and got a K6 thou.

I'm not disputing I've had issues with my bikes, and they pissed me off for sure.

But the biggest problem here is not the crappy little electric fault but the unexpected and unnecessary shit that it takes to get them fixed.

Also not that I said when they go they are GREAT. Cos they are. Sure I've had more problems with my suzuki's than I did with my honda or my hyosung (quiet in the cheap seats!) but I know which one I'd rather have my arse on when I go down 22 or round the loop.

A problem after 600km's and a problem after 2X000km are a world apart.

I know which one too, the Honda.

Anyway, I think this coversation cements my own opinion that the Suzuki bikes are only good for thrashing but only when the fucking thing goes. It's just a pity that Suzuki created something as beautiful as the GSX1400 and the V-Storm 650 / 1000. I'm sure they stole the concept from some other brand.

BTW Dover, what kind of Honda did you own?
