Previously mentioned in this thread was Hog Farm, they are just outside Auckland and do good frame building work. They will listen to your thoughts on what you want to achieve with respect, well they did for me and they do exactly what you ask for. They built a frame for my chop and helped with the forks and sorted the engine mountings. They also modified the tank. I don't weld and wanted someone that would do a good job locally. Look them up and give them a ring.

There is also another thread going on at the moment about chops and frame building.

'Does a chopper have to be a v-twin?' This thread is in this section (Hogs and Cruisers). There is some good reference material in it and one of the subsrcibers is a frame builder.

Oh ok, if you want 'real' custom bike shops maybe you should go to a country that the peaple can actually afford to own one in.

As far as I can tell the closest shops to NZ that build everything by hand is over in Aussie.

I make all my gear at home at Albany Hog Farm but not for a living, just for the hell of it, if someone gave me fiftee grand God knows what I could build...
