last bin: dickhead on a vfr was playing slipstreaming amongst a group of us .... he touched my rear wheel ... flicked me into the bottom of a steep corner ... wrote off my beautiful tiger cub - broke my shoulder blade and 3 fingers .... I remember getting to my feet and kicking that bloke so hard in the nuts he couldn't breathe ... omg .. my beautiful cub ......
Hence I ride by myself now, no trustie the group rides - no sirree.
last scary moment - woman in cage on kelburn parade. I made eye contact with her - like - real eye contact - exchanging smiles the whole thing - next thing I know she's pulled a u'ie in front of me .... then she "sees" me ... screams and slams the brakes on. coming to a stop in my lane .... in 8am traffic. I pulled the most stunning stopie of my life (never done one before - or since) got claps from people on the pavement. Had to change pants when i got to work. Unable to focus for a bit too .....

1st (just after picking up my learners) Brand new gloves, half way around corner in westgate flicked throttle by accident and did a wheelie and then slid accross the intersection. Damage: front fright indicator, headlight and ego.

2nd, Following a car too close on central park drive, car in front of the one i was following braked suddenly (ass) and sat in middle of the road indicating to go into repco, car in front of me tried to get through gap to his left but couldnt, braked hard. I braked hard, locked my back wheel up, whole bike wobbled and threw me off, bike bounced twice then slide into curb. i rolled a few times then went sliding feet first under the car in front! I looked up to see the cars back bumper abover my face, car then drove off, oblivious that anything had even happend. Dumbass driver, dumb ass rider. Damage: right hand peg snapped off, bent forks, broken headlight. After a very kind woman from the tile shop helped me get off the road, i rode to work with no back brake and my foot resting on the exahust. Little bit of road rash on my waist (jacket raised up) and curiosly, lost both big toe nails.

Both rider error really, angry with myself for not being able to recover the locked back wheel. been VERY cautious of locking my rear since, to the point of braking very early...

Both done on my fisrt bike within weeks of teaching myself to ride on yamaha FZX250 Zeal.
Had year off riding now back on one, ZZR250. Allready getting a bit too overconfident... fear another spill may be due if im not careful!

    Other road user for me

A Honda Civic decided it wanted to do a "U" turn when I was using the road.

Result, a big dent, broken glass and a written off bike.

The driver of the poor dented Honda was eventually prosecuted, I bought the bike back and restored it. So all was not lost I guess
