I did it through the AA (opposite Queensgate). I recommend booking your test now, as there was a 2 week waiting list when I booked (although it was the school holidays so the place was full of whippersnappers).
You can also book online, in the comfort of your own home......

Well done Metric and Drum. Yay.
well done just passed my full licence test this morning prick of a tester though.
It costs nothing to fail the test at the AA (or wherever).
So here's what I tried after getting my eyes tested by an optometrist for my "Restricted" (and getting two certs off the guy) and then being just a bit over 6 months later when getting the "Full"...
Close right eye.
Read your line from the left and right columns (your left eye will see 2).
Close left eye, open right.
Read your line from the right column (your right eye will see 2).
I think the machine works by your left eye seeing columns 1 & 2 and your right seeing 2 & 3. I'm one of those people who can't seem to get column 2 lined up in both eyes.
Once I fixed it by jamming my glasses harder against my nose. (When I got my "Learners".) But by the time I went for "Restricted" I couldn't do it anymore.
The optometrist said my eyes were fine (as long as my glasses are on) and that the machines were junk.
Cheers,
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.
just beiing a rude prick his mANNER wasnt that good dosent matter i passed so all good.
Congrats Drum and Metric on passing!
I find it amazing how much motorcycle practical tests have changed over the years.
Ride safe, ride again.
