Wind drag on waterproofs... anything better?

As you know Leather has the lease wind drag, water proofs have more.

What have you found that will reduce the wind drag on your water proofs?

And what type of water proofs do you wear?

I am getting annoyed at the wind drag my couldura has when worn over the top of my leathers, so looking for a solution. Either something applied to the couldra or wearing some other type of waterproofs.

    tkns.

Don't know about you mate but if i'm wearing waterproof gear I have no intention of going so fast that drag becomes a problem.

Instead of waterproof gear I just wrap up tight in about 3 rolls of glad wrap, make it tight and wind drag is no problem. I see you ride hondas so I fail to see why this issue would bother you?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Maybe I would... if just for the photo

For the record I was riding back from New Plymouth on Monday in the howling wind and bits of rain. The wind drag got so annoying that I took my waterproof jacket off and let the waterproof layer under my leathers to do the job, but in the long run its not good for the leathers. Hence I am asking... and yes... I ride my Honda quick enough in the wind and rain and dark SH3 to know

Prehaps your rain suit doesn't fit properly and is too big...its no doubt easier to put on...but will inflate to michelin man proportions in a steady head wind...buy a better fitting suit

I see the problem. Try not wearing anything over the top of your leathers.. Unless your leathers are perferated, then they are waterproofs. Certainly on a short trip like New Plymouth to Auckland leather treated with bees wax will keep you dry without the wind drag of courdura.

rain = water = less grip

most people would be looking to moderate their speed

alteratively use a car when it rains if it bothers you than much

most people thinks that I must be travelling at warp speed....

so what if it was really windy that day? and I am only doing like 120k.

this looks interesting... but only comes in orange and white!

If it's only wind, why do you need a rain suit?

Get some elastic bands and place them at regular intervals along your arms and legs, that should reduce the flapping and drag.

Will also make you look like a bit of a worm.

Oh and perferated leathers arn't the only reason for leaks - forget about the stretch panels?

My leathers have the stretch panels, and a semi liquid leather Balsm containing bees wax waterproofs those areas nicely. Its at the stiching where mine start to leak first, but by then I've been in the rain for hours and travelled a long way.
