News just in from a female friend (she paints sock monkeys in Arkansas)
"You know how I ride a motorcycle to work on most days when the weather isn't too cold or wet. It saves gas and is usually fun. I say usually because this morning somebody made a left turn in front of me and I wrecked. At least I didn't hit the huge SUV. I did as I had been advised in case of a wreck, and did not tense up. I rolled, and as a result avoided a lot of road rash. I just have one long cut on my arm and some bruises.
I was wearing a helmet but I don't think my head ever hit the ground. When I stopped rolling, I realized I was lying on my stomach holding my head up like a turtle. No gloves but lucky I avoided instinct to let hands drop (just once so a small cut). LOL Anyway, a crowd of people formed around me to see if I was OK, etc. One lady that stayed around and seemed to almost enjoy the excitement of it all, told me as I was leaving that she thought I might want to give her some money for looking after me so wonderfully!
I told her I don't carry cash (which is true) and she said, "Oh, I thought you might have some cash on you." Damn! That is unreal! Now you have to pay people for being nice? What's wrong with people? She seemed low class and not home trained I thought."
WTF - that beggar needs decking I reckon!
