cbr1000 seat height and over all size

i saw a cbr1000 at energy honda in new plymouth (the repsol one) and am verry surprised at the seat hight on it. i am 16 175cm and could proberly sit on it and touch the ground, i have seen 600cc bikes with higher seats than that. i think its the most phat sportsbike ever ( except the ducati desmosedici rr)

would the bike be difficult to handle for a smaller person even thow the seat is so low?

Small bods on big bikes is not really a problem (once you have the experience and full license)

and i also added sup pics of the ducati with dif paint jobs i gave it. (the program is alright but sum paint doesnt look right)

The CBR1000RR is very easy to ride and one of the easiest superbikes to go fast on, just don't rush things if you haven't ridden any thou's, they are all very fast.

When you're riding a bike, you don't keep your feet on the ground. That's what the pegs are for. I'm not much taller than you and the CBR is fine. Most of the MotoGP guys are midgets and they're not bad riders. I think your biggest problem will be your age.

What do you mean touch the ground? with your feet or your hands??? (I AM serious) I hope you don't think you're at the shorter end of riders, it makes people like me mad that the stupid bike companies don't make bikes for shorter people. (I'm 165cm on good days) I have enough trouble trying to find 250s that have low enough seat for my comfort.... bloody tall bastards....

i could touch the ground with both feet, this seat was as low as sum 250s i have seen. by comparison to other sports/super bikes does the cbr1000 have a lower seat?

or it could just be that 2 years has done alot of growing. but i swear i see larger people than me struggle to get both their feet on the ground at lights, they hav to lean the bike and only have one foot on the ground

Touching down with both feet is NOT a requirement. Demonstrated ability to handle a bike is....thru the GLS

I managed to get a Ullyses around Auck in peak trafic OK. I can only get one tippy toe at a time on the ground with those alpine beasts. Seat height isn't everything, if it was we'd all ride Hardley Lowriders.

ride in the morning ,your`e actually taller when you wake up than before you go to bed , hope this helps with seat height.lol

be assured, every thing about the cbr1000 is perfect.also these bikes being lighter than a lot of biggies(such as my old zzr1100)makes them much easier to handle with pushing them around etc.when the time comes you could do a lot worse than one of these,also unlike some bikes mentioned, the electrics won't pack a sad when it rains
