Money Making Schemes For New Bike

Hey guys,
I'm hopefully looking at buying a new bike in late november, early december (hopefully Str8 Jacket's KR). Any who, financially speaking I need to 'aquire' $1800ish by that time. Having checked my bank balance for the wonder of online banking I have $198.67. I've got one guy interested in my current bike and he's keen to wait til nov and he willing to pay $100, but he mite find something in between times which is worrying. I'll probably make around $400 more from work. That leaves at least $200 to be made. I have thought up some schemes on how to get it and was wanting some feedback.
1. Parents - They not even keen on me having this bike, and dont want me to get a bike with more speed.
2. Birthday - Get cash instead of gifts. Kinda spoils the whole present concept, but is a worth cause. but again it is parents who will be the main contributor.
3. Selling Crap - Selling all my old toys from when I was a youngster, they wont be worth much however and it's all my memories.
4. Busking - Had a brillant idea of doing it online, but i'm talentless and video camera less so would make it difficult.
5. Begging - I have my dignity to think about...
6. Bank Robbery - Outset would be to high, balaclava $20, shotgun $200, risk $LIFE IN JAIL
7. Loan - Parents, no. Bank/Finance Company, would need a cosigner cos i'm 15 so no. Friends, the one friend who would recently stuck all his money in long term deposit.
8. Sell Cellphone - It will be said, but I must do what I have to to get a new bike
9. Pick-up a second job - My current hours are so varied and unpredictable that it would be impossible.
10. Win Lotto - Again my age is against me
11. Sell a book of ideas to make money

So if you guys have any ideas please let me know... only if they reasonable i.e. no prostitution (sorry ladies... and dover), and yea

It is very simple, get a decent job and save what you earn.

Working at macca's is a decent job

$8.40 per hour before tax

And i do save what I earn, but school and homework took up the majority of my life and I don't wanna give up on education just yet.

Work harder, don't slack around, use your initiative (at maccas). If you're a hard worker, they will be more likely to accomodate you with more regular hours.

I've had real good hours over the holidays like 40 this week which will bring around $200ish, but next week I've only got two hours, and once I pay for my sponsoring some bangladesh boy I'll probably be in negative dollars for the week's takings

Dude,

You're 15, right? I'm going to sound like a boring bastard but ... don't, OK. The numbers just don't stack up.

First: If you get Str8's KR, fine bike that it is, at some point you will crash it. When this happens you're going to be looking at a bill for another thousand dollars to put it back on the road and you're not going to be able to afford it and your hard earned cash will be sitting in your dad's garage with bent forks. This will suck the big one.

Second: The $100 you've been offered for your 125 is way low of the mark. I don't think I've heard of anything that even functions going for less than $600 and a quick skim through TradeMe shows that perhaps a grand is more realistic:

This is without knowing anything about your bike of course but beginner bikes are in demand right now.

As for money making jollies, try and get some more consistent hours from Maccas. I also can't imagine a parent in the world that would refuse you a loan to buy some decent safety gear and angling for a set of cordura, boots, gloves and a helmet for xmas might be a good idea.

Good luck, man. I know it sucks being young but you're picking up the right attitude on the way through.

$200 for 40hrs work!... shit!, I'll pay you $200 to paint my house... it wont take you 40 hrs... maybe 20-30. Tax free too

Schools are great places to sell drugs

Think that was a typo - should read $1000 from his other figures. Still doesn't add up to free and clear as young fella said.

Most people are dreamers of what a decient job is. It usually starts with going off to Uni or Tech and the loss of 3 years doing some sort of degree. Making money? If anyone has to think up some hair brained scheme like the fellow in the original post of this thread, then there is not much hope. Yea I've got a money making scheme, but it involves only spending money at the moment. However when I retire, thats all going to change...

Dude, get up off your arse and do the little things.

Mow lawns, grab a pamphlet delivery job, clean cars. I know they sound boring and under 12 type jobs, but if you are serious about getting this bike then you do what you can.

My first bike was a CG125 and I remember doing 3 jobs just to save up enough to get it. Believe me, you will be stoked and once you have it, you can just look back and be proud of what you did.

Ranty has a very wise head, read what is said mafu1, and act on it...
Send Bangladesh Boy a Macca Voucher and call it even.....
You dont have to find that much money in the time frame.....6-8 weeks?
Parent's are your best bet and, like RR said, talk with them and do everything right, like proper gear and Basic Handling test (thats if you havent already done one)......but stop sending your money oversea's.....
