I had a blast over the takas and back after I visited Wasp to see how life without a bike was treating. A very slow ride, though, due to all the traffic. Buckbuck, I saw you coming back on the Welly side.

Oh the strategy I practised today was my desperately frustrated gaze.

Yeh, figured that was you lot.

If you saw some random dude on a ZXR point at you before you left, well now you know who!

Strategy practised- passing slow campervans at high speed.
Ah yeah, and what's the hill like then?

Did a basic ride along Moutere highway, Edwards road and Motueka Valley highway. Stopped in Mot at The Mooring and met Jen, had a good chat. Then took the coastal back...

Was actuall following another rider and was playing with lines, accelerating through the corner and patience...

    Awesome day it was too...

Went out mid morning with a mate and his mate. Tackle? CB1300, Blackbird and Firestorm....Over the Rimutaka and straight on to Masterton. Had an all day brekkie at the Strada Cafe, then took the Castle Point road for a short while before heading over the lovely sweepy road towards Gladstone and then Martinborough. (In otherwords we went the other way round to the way most people go!). Stopped at the Fish for a latte (dahling!) a chinwag and a pee. Headed off home via Featherston. Needed petrol so pulled in at the Mobil. My ridemates buggered off towards the hill leaving me to discover that Featherston was dry!! Had to ride to Greytown to fill up and then return. Quite enjoyed it on my own actually. My strategy? To show off the CB of course! .... and to prove it will keep up with crotch rockets quite admirably.
Oh and to get those silly hairy bits of excess rubber off the new front tyre!
(Truth is I ride like a wuss and so I used a knife once I got home and where no one could see me!)

hell, you guys would have passed me in the weekend! i spent the weekend riding up and down state highway 2 to masterton and then featherston and then out to the gladdy on sunday but i knew nobody! i tacked on to the back of a couple of GNs from greytown to carterton but then that was it. i managed to check out the speed of the bike since i havent been able to take it out and it goes quite a considerable speed when ticked up which is cool.....not that i spend a lot of my time speeding *eep*....the weather was awesome but on saturday when i went to featherston i didnt go over the hill because it was too windy. yep, i'm a wimp at the mo on the new bike!

Nice, sounds like a good ride. The hill is clean now, just a couple of gritty corners on the mot side.
