What a difference a pound makes

    Well, 1.5psi to be exact.

Ride into work yesterday, the SV felt a little unrespsonsive when cornering. Same on the way home.

So this morning, out with the pressure gauge. Rear: 3psi down. Front: 1.5psi down. Out with the footpump (glad I bought a twin-cylinder one - makes life a lot easier on the leg muscles).

Result? Back to handling like a dream. With the SV being a very 'front steering' bike, I reckon it is mainly down to the 1.5psi more in the front.

Just shows how it is worth keeping an eye on your tyre pressures though - like riding a different bike.

Yep,even on my old bus it makes a big diffrence.
I check my pressures once a week and find it's better to run a bit high than any amount low.

You should have done the front first, then taken it for a ride. Before doing the rear.
