Mate Im really serious here. I was doing about the same speed-the whale was flying -I really haddn't seen the truck when I slowed down It was pretty spooky-- I was down to 80-100 when I actually saw the truck.

Greenhithe bridge, eh? Brave bustard you are. I went the whole bridge-averse hog and took SH28 home. Which wasn't really an improvement, I dunn think. I set a new personal record for slowest ever Coatesville-to-Riverhead time.
Also I have decided, following said ride, that I need more headlight.
And BLUUURRRRRGHHHHPHHHBBBBBTTTTTBTBTBTBTBT to all those cage drivers who couldn't be arsed turning down their high beams coming toward me. It's just *so* much fun pointing a bike into the blackness mid-corner at 100kph at hopefully the correct angle to the left of the blinding blob that has become the only distinguishable object in your field of vision. While catching fat gusts of wind at random intervals. On a damp road. On a bike that weighs the same as you do.

It used to give me sooo much satisfaction when I had my old XJ750p on nights like that. -theyd pull the whole Hi beam bit so Id hit em with 2x 120w spotties and a 100w hi beam -ya gotta love police relays and heavy duty alternators
