    Windy day riding

I met up with Firefight and Andrew at Autobahn at 1.00 ish to day for a quiet ride in the country.
    A couple of interesting factiods.
1 A Gtr1000 does not make a good back road scratcher.
2 A Gtr1000 with a hull attached would make a great sailing boat given its ability to sail sideways across a slippery road with a decent wind gust.
    3) GTR1000's have a built in throttle shutting devise that shuts the throttle when large trucks turn in front of them on blind corners.
4)Black plastic rubbish sacs do NOT make very good visor material -This especially aplies when trav elling at 100km/h
    in rush hour traffic.

Mate threw his GTR1000 around like a trail bike . . . . when he had to avoid a cager that went through a Give Way when he was on the open road. I suppose that the wind was a mild Wgtn breeze, around 30kms.

Good to see that the day was eventful, could have been real boring

Landings would have been a bit of a mission I'd imagine at the airport.

well best ask FF about that -i got lost 5 minutes into the ride.
I know we ended up at maraitai
I know it was a nice quiet ride
I know FF actually let me in front -probably thinking the whale would act as a wind break

Sounds like you nearly binned it Frosty? I'm glad you didn't.

I felt the winds beating on my cage on the way home from work tonight - they kept waking me up as I was nodding off while dribbling along with the motorway traffic...talk about a major difference in mind concentration between driving a cage and riding a sickle!

I dont think so .but a plastic bag wrapped arount the helmet was scarey.I just couldn't remember how close I was to the car in front
The truck thing was freakey--Like Im serious here -for no reason I shut off the throttle completely just as I was coming around that blind corner. Really weird

say FF you guys missed the fun. A plastic rubbish sack flew down from a motorway bridge.blew up my screen and wrapped around my helmet. scarey for about 10 hours -or a microsecond
