in my experacine Cyclespot are the worst, even if one of the weird looking sales things do talk to you they attemp to tell you what you want, which is a big mistake Hope you find a bike to buy Riff Raff. I would Hate to know if a male would get better service than a female. Do you get 'talked down to" like you don't know what you are talking about, my wife has in the past. After she had finished with the sales person even I felt sorry for them, she has a bite that is nasty.

Yup... Red Baron was a nightmare for this, I once went in there to look at a bike, after looking and walking around and not even getting a look from the staff I went up to them and asked if someone could help me, his responce was as if he was talking to a child "and what colour bike would you like hmm?" - huh... wtf... I said in my most sheepish voice "a red one please" - and then gave him a peice of my mind...
Why do they presume you are stupid and know nothing just because you a woman. Anyway rant over...

Good luck with Hamilton. Although I'm a Honda owner I give all my non-Honda specific business to Road and Sport (Suzuki, Buell, H-D) as they are unfailingly helpful. Sad to say that the Boyd Honda front of shop people have always treated me in the same manner that it was your misfortune to experience. However, I've found Boyd's workshop people to be superb - a completely different story. The owner of Hamilton Motorcycles (Triumph, Kawasaki) is a great guy. No experience of Waikato Yamaha at all but one of their guys is a regular KB'er.

99% of people are 'just looking' when they go into a dealership. The lazy salesperson accepts this, moans about it to their workmates (just another 'looker'), and watches them leave. The smart salesperson converts them into a sale.
