What's acceptible punishment?

After hearing some really close calls and also of some major issues with cars, vans and trucks driving recklessly towards bikes, What are some of the solutions/ punishments towards the vehicle/ occupants that are acceptible. Also maybee some over the top, and possibly unacceptible entertaining ones as well.

I bring this up as there are a lot of young riders out there that seem to be hinting and experiancing these. Some of us older schooled riders must have some life gems to share?

I've never had a major problem with other traffic (touch wood).

However I like to think that if anybody ever deliberately endangered my life, I'd take a note of their license plate and get their LTSA registered address from the post office.

What happens next depends entirely on the circumstances. Though I can think of a few entertaining "punishments".

i got tailgated today....big time. we both went to the same place, so i watched to see who got out of the car...well off looking mother with 2 kids...a girl who would have been about 12, and a younger boy. they went ahead of me, so i made my presence known by forcing my way past. then i blocked the mother as she attempted to go around me in the shop, forcing her to speak to me. when i left, i borrowed some paper and a pen, wrote her a note and gave it to her daughter.

all it basically said was, it is not fun being tailgated, stated that i was human and to please keep back from motorbikes. i did not put my name or any identifying details, though i wish id taken her plate.
i thought she was a boy racer, as it often is, and my reaction is to put as much distance between me and them. of course, when i speed up to increase the distance, they do the same and ruin my efforts. i was doing just over 50k, slowing due to an intersection with a car stopped ahead of us.
i actually thought she was going to hit me at one point as the shop has about 4 entrances, and i took the closest, she took the one right next to me.

that note was the biggest reaction ive given "face to face". i did have some loop in a van do the same, but he was much more aggressive, tried to undertake, finally overtook and nearly rear ended the car ahead.

It is not up to us, as riders, to inflict punishment on people who offend/harm us. That is a job for the justice system - even if the justice system does not do the job they are appointed to do, it is still not our place to seek retribution, despite the very real temptation to do so.
Talking about "accidents" with brake fluid, removing mirrrors, kicking in side panels etc is not good advice for 10 ft tall, bullet proof, testosterone filled young men. It will ultimately do them more harm than good.
Better to show them ways of not getting in to trouble in the first place... my 2c worth

Sock with a few D cell batteries swung at the offending vehicle creates some fun damage. Lifting the foot and taking off the wing mirror works well, used it myself but be careful of your technique so as not to break an ankle or unexpectly dismount.

I hear throwing old spark plugs works well too.

Wait for them to stop for gas then walk up to them on the forecourt and in a sexy gay voice go "HIIIIII DAVID, HUNNY WE HAVENT SEEN EACH OTHER IN SUCH A LONG TIME, WOW, HOW ARE YOU? IM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE HIV TEST"

Use to do that on the phone when I'd ring up a place for work, get the receptionist and put on a gay voice and ask for the manager or whoever I wanted to talk to and say shit like "ITS ANDY WE MEET LAST FRIDAY AT A BARRRR".

I was expecting alot more relates to instances or experiances of revenge. I actually don't often get agro as I try to keep a level head and focus on survival. I just like so many are astonished at the amount of REALLY BAD drivers out there. I know that people say bikes are TOO dangerous and it really hacks me off as they are safer if only box drivers followed the road rules and obey the law.
Yes granted some fatalities are caused by bike idiots who either, hoon, speed ridiculously, drink and ride, or larakins, but I don't see that many. I occasionally speed, no lies there, it hard not to when you a fuel injected 1800cc bike with a top end speed of 200mph, but I never do the insane as thats for the track, or well on my neighbours runway......
Ride safe people, and let people know when they drive bad in some way otherwise they will never know and might end up nailing a mate or fellow KB.

Best way I find to deal with is is to slow riggggghht down...

I'm talking 10kph here. If you're doing 50 and they're sat on your arse just pull in the clutch and gradually let the speed drop off. Nice and slow so they've got time to react. I anyone says anything, just say;

The proximity of the car behind me means the 2 second rule only works at 10kph. You'll usually find they get pissed off and overtake, but it does the job.

I think that most cagers if it's a motorcycle it's going to be doing the same speed as them or faster. I was coming up from Masterton in the milk tanker at 44 tonne and caught up a GN250 doing about 70ks as it had a L plate on it. Sat back for a while and then the rider finally pulled over which let me get a run at a hill. It's good to see riders like that pulling over as it takes a while to get past anything at the legal limit.

i ride at 100k on the open road...i tried 70 once and that was nearly the end of me, lol.

weasel...yep, i slow right down, specially in the wet.
was riding a bit of road that has another road merge into it...van coming down the merging bit, he didnt even slow down as he got there....i came out ahead, but only just. in return im jumped on the brakes and kept at about 40k...he backed off pretty fast.

worst one i had was coming down a hill in town...had some holden or something come flying down behind me...he was so close i literally couldnt see him in my mirror...he was that close. he finally got past, after id held him back for a while [new rider, and first time on the hill] next thing you know, a cop car comes tearing down...obviously after the holden.
